DAY 8 - GOD'S MASTERPIECE

Michelangelo was an artist and sculptor and is known as one of the most famous artists in history. Some of his most valuable works are Pieta and The David. Michelangelo once said, "In every block of marble I see a statue as plain as though it stood before me, shaped and perfect in attitude and action. I have only to hew away the rough walls that imprison the lovely apparition to reveal it to the other eyes as mine see it."

When we come to Christ – God begins a work inside you and I to create something beautiful and Holy that represents Himself in a tangible, touchable, physical way. His goal for YOU individually and US collectively is to create what He already sees; to make the invisible – visible!

Ephesians 2:10: For we are His workmanship created in Christ Jesus."

God is an artist. He is Creator! He has taken you and I – rough and raw slabs of stone, with a goal in mind, with His eternal purpose at heart. Every day, He is chipping away the rough walls that encase the beautiful spirit within to reveal it to the eyes of others, the world, and to ourselves, so we can see what He sees - The masterpiece YOU are, and that WE are as the Body of Christ! We are God’s Masterpiece Created in Christ Jesus!

Romans 8:29 says the work He is doing is, " to conform (us) to the image of his Son, in order that he might be the firstborn among many brothers." (ESV)

I Peter 2:5 says it this way: "you also, as living stones, are being built up a spiritual house, a holy priesthood, to offer up spiritual sacrifices acceptable to God through Jesus Christ." (NKJ)

Be confident of this very thing, that He who has begun a good work in you will complete it until the day of Jesus Christ (Philippians 1:6). In us, with us and thru us, God is building His house (the church, the body of Christ, the family of God). We must know and see who “We” are. Let’s see it and believe it so “we” can “be” it!
